Nice work ! But is it possible to make something like that to use with distributed.net ? de RC5-72 project?
That would also be nice to have...

Any chance of a version that works with the new BOINC v of seti@home?

I'm just about to have a look on BOINC and to be true, I'm not sure if I like BOINC.

I have only been using the Seti@Home Program for a little over a month and I really only have a 100 Units done. Is this normal? And I also was wondering how often this docklet updates since it isnt always up to date, especially when a unit finishes.

Hmm, hard to say of 100 units is ok or not, it depends on so many factors: your PC performance, numbers of hours your PC is up, Seti@Home program (screensaver or command-line, ....

As for the update speed. The docklet updates its status every 60 seconds, while Seti@Home usually updates the state.sah file only every 120 seconds. As both updates are not in sync, it takes in average 30 seconds until the docklet notices the updated state.

Actually, I don't know Seti Stash, so I'd say no.

Alright thanks for the info. I was kinda confused since on the seti@home website there are people with units over 10000 in not that much time, but I guess its because they are more than one pc. I am only processing off of one pc but I may get s server in the future. Currently I have just over 200 units done. I would have more but my girlfriend hates the noise my pc makes at night...gotta respect her wishes lol....

Hey cool, so you save energy, produce less carbondioxide and therefore save the environment!!! Fair enough! I currently have 4744 units done after years....

Those guys with thousands of units in a short time frame probably have access to PC and server farms and install Seti@Home on every machine they get their fingers on...

Ah I like your new docklet add-on, but I am getting an error. It says in the Label of the docklet
"Could not read Key prog" in file B:\State.Sah!
(It has the exclamation point included)
My only guess is that it is not looking in the right directory for the seti@home work unit even though i configured it. Thanks for the help in advance.

Wait you fixed the label problem by configuring it? That didn't work for me...

Oh, that's an easy one.

B:\ is the default for the directory the Seti@Home program runs in. B: is my ram disk drive.

Just change the Seti@Home directory in the configuration dialog of the SetiMonitor docklet to the directory YOUR Seti@Home client runs in and everything will be fine.

I am sorry, but that didn't fix my problem. The label still reads
"Could not read Key prog" in file B:\State.Sah!
Even after I configured it to my Seti@Home directory. And it doesnt update or find my email address een after I followed the directions provided. The old 1.2 version worked for me, but for some reason 1.3 isn't working.

Hmm, the error message is generated in a function that I didn't modify between 1.2 and 1.3.
Try the following:
- Configure your seti directory in the docket configuration dialog.
- Quit ObjectDock
- Check the file CurrentTheme.ini in your ObjectDock Directory. Look for the SetiMonitor section. The setting "SetiDirectory" should have the directory you just configured. If not, modify the setting manually
- Restart ObjectDock
- Open the configuration dialog of the SetiMonitor docklet
- Go to the "Directory" tab.

Does the directory field show the directoy you configured?

Once this works, you can go for the email problem. Most probably it's solved as soon the directory problem is solved. If not, check the file temp.sah. There's an email setting in this file that is used to show your user statistics. This setting is updated when you run the Seti@Home command-line program using the -login argument.

oops, my last message was truncated.

So if you still are having problems, send me your CurrentTheme.ini and all files of your Seti@Home directoy. My email address can be found in the ReadMe file.

How do I get this docklet to work. I can't even add the docklet to try and configure it. Whenever I move the folder containing all the files into the Docklets folder I get an MSVCR71.dll file not found error.

Ok, got it all figured out. I d/l'd that dll from the net. The OD+ finally saw the docklet. Got that error about can't finding the .sah file even though I configured it. Quit OD+, then reloaded, now eveything is fine. Thought I would post this incase someone else is having problems.

Hi,

thanks a lot, that's a useful hint. I'll check my source code again, maybe there is a thread that isn't aware of the modified directory until the docklet is re-started. And I'll check the dll issue.
