Yeah, I would really be interested in a speed option. When the speed is turned all the way down, the image should be centered and completely still (as mentioned above, no animation). Btw, I am using the latest version of DreamScapes and the latest version of Photo Dream and am having a problem where it doesn't change pictures after awhile (maybe 10 min). It just gets stuck on the same picture moving it around in 3D. I have to go into Dream and open the Photo Dream options. Don't actually have to change anything, just click ok and everything is fine.

Running multiple dreams at once would require at least 256MB of video memory.
Not a problem. Got 512mb to 1gb per card in my machines.

I just bought it and like it a good deal! I would like to learn how to configure it to display certain folders, but there's no explanation as to how to do that...also, do I install or move it to where my other dreams are? How do I get to the configuation screen?

You need to copy the dream into the Dreams folder, which I think happens automatically if you just click it. Or you can copy it into the correct Choose a Desktop Background folder (accessible via the Personalize/Desktop Background option). When you select the dream in the main Choose a Desktop Background a secret "Dynamic Wallpapers Settings" item should appear just below and to the left of the "Performance Settings" option. Click on that and you'll find all the magic.

You can pause any Dream by hitting the RMB on the desktop and selecting "Pause Deskscapes". Repeat to Resume.

PS Love the updated version, Stardock. Is there some way to set the background color in the Static Wallpaper mode? Right now, it defaults to gray. I'd like the option to go black, or even white sometimes.

Enjoy! This is the dream I keep finding myself coming back to as my default. If I could just A) have a different picture flying around on each monitor, and get it to work on my second adapter/3rd monitor, I'd be in heaven.

yeah, i have a quad monitor setup..(i only use the other two during video or music editing and usually just run two.. but i have no problems running dreams on all 4 quite smoothly.. "calm Seas" looks quite amazing.. but i would like the option of having at least one pic per monitor.. and would like to see more support for multi-monitor setups.. i will gladly fork over the cash.. i understand that "most" users won't be able to run that.. but then they won't be interested anyway.. but for those of us who can... the option would be nice. Nice dream btw. You guys should seriously consider hooking up with or "aquiring" ultramon .. as you both are the standard in what you do.. just a suggestion.

I'm bumping this here because it's not clear if this bug is in the Deskscapes 3 beta with multiple GPU support or if it is a scaling coding issue with this particular dream. Either way, I'm sure this is an easy programming fix. --- In my case, monitor 3 is rotated 90 degrees (1050x1680), so while the photodream plays orientated correctly, it is scaled too narrow/too tall. The gradients and background images scale correctly though it appears.

This latest version of Deskscapes from last night 11-12-2009 addresses the scaling issue! While the left and right edges of the 3d images disappear off screen (remember this is on my portrait aspect screen), the aspect ratio is correct, so it's just kinda of like monitor 3 has a zoomed in version, which works for me. At some point it would be nice to choose whether to favor the horizontal or vertical free space, but for now, THANK YOU for the fix!

Hey there, I found a bug!  8)

In the latest Deskscapes rev, the problem ONLY occurs in the Photodream dream when "Move picture in three dimensions" is Enabled and only on Nvidia graphics cards.  It just so happens that this is my default hardware/dream configuration for every monitor I own, haha.

The background refresh/redraw disappears entirely (it is not drawn or redrawn) and the animated picture moves for about one second, leaving a trail artifact behind, before it just freezes.

This does not happen if any of these conditions are not met.

I hope that helps you narrow it down to a specific line of code.

Suggestions:  Is there any way it works like windows 7 photoslideshow with fade in effects, when changed in 2D mode. It would be great to have this dream something like win 7 desktop feature, with additional transitional effects like colored fade-in, fade-out and more.

I'll pay for this providing you use the money to buy a rope to hang yourself. Anyone able to nickle and dime people for a desktop wallpaper is someone this world can do without. Even if your rich and can afford to throw money away on this sort of this, I encourage you not to, don't encourage the people shallow enough to put a pricetag on this sort of thing. Although not the same scale as the crooks on Wallstreet that bilked millions out of millions, its the same mindset of greed and profiteering thats so wrong with the world today.
