There is a very noticeable pause at the loop point which ruins a good dream.

I agree about the pause. Also, because of the repetitive nature of this dream, it could also be a lot shorter, like under 5 seconds short. Then the CPU load would be even less.

Anything this fast is hard to do without a noticable pause. On my quad-core it is barely noticable, however on my friend's dual-core it is much more noticable, so I think the pause at the loop is system dependant. I played with shoter loops, but shorter loops mean more frequent hickups when the loop starts. At 5 seconds on my friend's pc it looked jerky because of the frequent pauses. SO, again, it is a compromise between CPU and quality. Unfortunately it is very difficult to get something that looks and runs well on every system configuration. I'm still learning and I'll keep trying. Thanks for the feedback.
