I *don't* like that it sucks up between 25 - 32 Megs of RAM. What's up with that?
Chunks the whole system up something awful.
Really cool idea, though. Like the animations, too.

As far as I know microsoft don't do weather. I find this very strange and concerning. Just as well I run Sygate Firewall as it gave me all the information as to what your widget was doing, ie- trying to access remote port 80 to a specific IP address, being microsoft. the only thing I can think of is that you have built into it some sort of SPYWARE.

Miss Mannlister. What version of DesktopX are you using? Is it the latest 2.2 beta from Object Desktop?

unfortunately, the latest beta makes all of my objects snap to the screen edges and corners regardless of my object settings. argh.

I think it was the "the only thing I can think of is that you have built into it some sort of SPYWARE.
If your comment wasn't interpreted as intended then apologies.

If you drag your object and it smaps to the edge just use the cursor keys to move it slightly off the edge or use the Object Navigator to adjust the x,y settings.
I thought there was an option to remove snapping to edges but I can't see it. I'll ask if we can make this an option that is on by default but can be switched off.

... maybe it would be better to advise that users need the latest beta for these things before using them, either that, or make then so that all can use them ...

i don't know if u need winXP for this to run, but u definitely need the latest DX Beta, which is 2.19m for it to run properly.
The widgets should run when u double click them because with dx2 installed on ur system, they should be recognised ...

Needless to say, being in England I didn't notice this problem!
