This is because weather.com changed the link to recieve the weather data. So this function will not work in the gadget.

Sorry but I've stopped working on the gadget development. On this reason the problem will not fixed...

Hi Kelly,

I'm really sorry but this game is finished for me. You will not see any new gadgets or widgets from me here. As well as I will not work on any updates for old projects. I even has no DesktopX installed on my main PC...

More than half year ago I've left this place because of a few serious reasons which showed me the absolute futility of my hard work. So excuse me please, but all of my creations will be in the same kind you can see now. I will not do nothing for WC. Nevermore!

That's all I have to say you at this moment.

P.S. The other weather programs was updated. You may downlowd and use any of them.

Hi Kelly, It seems I've stopped completely...

Each work must be motivated and bring the tangible benefits (like money for example). You will never work on sone things if If your labor is deprived of these both incentives.

I've totally lost any motivation to continue. DesktopX (as a software for development) was killed directly by Stardock. The selling of Master Gadgets can bring to its author about $100 per year for each gadget, i. e. about $8.33 per month. What is it? A bad joke?

I'm not ready to work for $8 per month... My new business brings me enough money every month without any gadgets and cheap/shameful intrigues on Wincustomize. Besides it stopped the destruction of my eyes near computer.

So I'm rich, happy and independent once again like a few years ago when I visited this place at the first time. Are you see at least one reason for me to continue this stupid game?

Best Regards.

Thank you Tony! Nice comment.

Sorry that I can't make the final version of this gadget because DesktopX doesn't work completely on Vista. So let's wait until Stardock will make the relise of OD 2008. Hope they will finally solve all of DX problems...

I like your idea about Thompson. Seems I really need this thing to "talk" with our damn political prostitutes that destroy my country and disturb me to live here.

Best Regards.

Nevermind, seems to be working now. I uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times with the above results, so I made a comment. Just uninstalled and reinstalled again, just for kicks, and now it works.

Hi. First off, I want to say what a great job I think you have done with this. I enjoy using it thoroughly. But, I am having a couple of issues with it. I use Windows XP MCE. First issue, the setting button does not give me any kind of menu, just opens the help. Second thing, I cant change any of the buttons, I dont get a pop up window for renaming or selecting the file path. Last thing, clicking the center of the jog control will not bring up the setting in weather. I am using this with thge launch bar and WB, and I love it. I would just like to try and get these few issues sorted out.

Thanks!

I don't use horoscope too. But my wife often wants to look on it! And I know many people around who needs this options. So I'm very sorry that must tell you "NO"... It may not be removed.

However I have a little idea how to disable this feature and use this button just a shortcut. And I'll make this when work on the next version of SD Desktop.

I simply love this gadget! I just have one question.. is there ANY way to remove or change the horiscope feature.. I have no use for it and it seems silly to waste a good gadget button.

Good luck with the new computer and Vista! I moved to 64 bit Vista Enterprise earlier this summer because of work. It's been a challenge in some respects, but I'm getting along OK.

I don't know if it's possible or not, but I'd love to have a version of this desktop that I could edit the scripts. For instance, the e-mail and calendar functionality are great to have on the desktop, but I use Exchange as my e-mail and calendaring server, because of work.

Hope your new gear doesn't give you too many fits!

Sorry friends,
but I "fight" with Vista Ultimate now. I'm off line and my computer is clear from any Stardock programs...

So I can't help you right  now. Give me please some time to finish migration.
