Great looking theme. I haven't seen a brushed metal theme in quite a while. Very usable and easy on the eyes. BUT... Oh yes you knew some one would say something bad about your theme...LOL Nothing bad really. Only thing I found I didn't like is the 104 top reduction on the work area. You might want to look at making it autohide and set the z order to always on top. Just a suggestion most people don't want to give up that much screen space ..

Looking forward to more from you...

Q94, Mx and Cp - thanks. This is my first upload so I was prepared for all kinds of comments. Your kind are the best of course!!

Murex - I do understand what you are saying because maximizing real estate is a priority for me as well. The reason I made the adjustment to the work area size was to have consistency when opening any and all windows. If I need the whole screen, like when working in PhotoShop, I just maximize the window. Same result you're looking for, just a different way of achieving it.

- Thanks Fairyy.

- #6 rric1, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you having problems downloading it from this site? Or are you having problems opening the zip file on your computer? I tested the download myself and had no problems. I also opened the ZIP file and installed the desktop and also had no problems. Please explain in more detail so I can help solve the problem.

FYI to all. Just noticed an incorrect shadow setting on the Documents button that is very minor, but when corrected looks much better. Switch to Desktop Builder, right click on the Documents button, click Properties, click the States tab, click on Show/Glow and then UNcheck the box. Click OK, and then right click on your desktop to get to DX Builder and then Save Desktop.

Very minor but it does make it look better. Sorry about that.

rric1 - I'm assuming you have Objectdesktop or you couldn't load it. This was made on XP. Are you using a different OS? Except for those two ideas I have no idea what is happening or why. Maybe some others who have more experience here can shed some light on the problem.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Love it. Great minimalistic theme, with all the right parts. Agree on autohide for topbar. Wall is nice. Looking for more from you. Thanks.

Hi Robert, this looks good, have tried it out and dont see any problems at all. One small suggestion would be to use the hand cursor on some mouseovers, in particular the hide-all
button in bottom corner, I had a bit of trouble locating it. Maybe even make that button visible on mouseover as well.

As far as the auto-hide suggestion I think that is a personal preference for some but I can live without it, Im not even sure where to find a script for that.

Im not sure why rric is having that problem, would need more info.

So well done Robert and looking forward to future work by you.

Thanks Seldom.

Buzz, I see your point about making the button visible on MO. However, I have a suggestion for you to try. Move the button down to the corner like it is at 1280x800 (y=1014). Then you will have no problem locating it every time. Either way (or both) are workable solutions. The idea was/is to quickly and easily make your PC reasonably tamper proof when you step away, and do so in a way that's non-traditional (like a screensaver with logon, or suspend by closing the lid of your laptop requiring logon when opened - which is what I used to do). Plus, this eliminates logon with eyes around, which is always a concern.

Thanks for the encouragement.

The nice thing about autohide is you can hide it if you want. If you don't want it to hide just dock it and you can leave it there. It works both ways.

A script for it can be found here. WWW Link

It can be used for top, left.right or bottom. The nice thing about this script is you can drag it left to right if set for top or bottom. you can drag it up and down if set for sides.

knofsky.. wasn't saying how you did it was wrong It was just a suggestion..
