I've just tried to install this Desktop theme but Antivirus program has stopped loading saying DesktopX.exe is malicious file and my computer is in danger. Is it virus or spyware?

I already tried the manual update button but it still keeps saying: "awaiting news update"
Other skins don't have that problem, so what am I doing wrong here?

Nevertheless... Awesome theme!!! I think I'll be using this one for a looooong time

i love the theme, im sure ill be using it for a long time now.

though i did run into a small bug.
-when you have winamp playing in the music tab, then switch to the notes tab, you can still randomly click the position bar, and change the music...

other then that, its PERFECT!

Never mind, I found your Note it object. Any problems with me using it in a theme?

Thanks regardless

I've never felt the urge to comment on any theme in the 2 years or so that I've used DesktopX but this theme is just awesome

Any plans to put the My notes script out as an object?

jakehale, after you download the file, simply double-click on it (wherever you placed it when you downloaded it) and it will load automatically. From that point on, you should be able to find it in your list of DesktopX themes. As well, the other way to do it is to load it via Windows Explorer. E.g.: find the file through explorer and just double-click on it - C:\program files\stardock\objectdesktop\desktopx\themes\ ... and then whatever theme you want to load (taking for granted your destination path is the same as mine, but hopefully you get the idea).

Sorry - right click the blue area at the bottom of the Desktop tab and click Properties to edit the object first

Martin,
Again, pardon my ignorance but where can I find the relation tab?

Mr B. - For the corp_gradient object, on the relation tab set the z-order to Normal, that should sort you out.

Luke - No, sorry, there is no Firefox control that I can use.

Martin,
Your idea sounds great! I think I understand now. One other question: is there any way to have the theme where it is not always behind whatever else is on the desktop? For example, as I am typing this comment here, I am using the browser in the browse tab. I currently have trillian up and running. Whenever my typing comes to where the trillian program is running, it becomes hidden because the trillian program is "on top" of this theme. I assume that you have the state set to "always on the bottom" or something in that vein. Is there any way to change it?

Bob Nunnick,

Sorry - missed your comment.

You can edit the Quick links - just click the button marked "Edit"

As for WB Skin, something like the WMP skin may look nice (http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4962&LibID=1). I just tend to find skins I like and recolor them. That way you can guarantee that it will complement the desktop.
