You can change the colours of the backgrounds if you just use an app. like photoshop to open up the original backround png. file and use a hue/saturation filter. then you can pick to change to any colour your heart desires

BRILLIANT as usual!
Icons would be another great addition...

This object is the reason I downloaded Desktop X. Definatly the best ever. It matches the WB theme (which is also the best ever!) perfectly! If you imported this over to Sysmetrix, it would be so awesome. BTW Tiggz, thanks for the Rainlendar.

... and cursors as well. Keep it up. You really did an outstanding job here!!

Actually, you can change the colors of the background using the properties controls. Either click on the meter background that you want to change and when it opens, click on the *states* tab. Then on that portion, click on the *color* tab. Where it says *Hue Shift* type in values from 1 to 255. When you apply them, you will see the color change. you will have to experiment to find the hue you want. I was experimenting to show you how flexible it really is doing that. You can also click on all the texts and pulling up properties. The *state* tab has color options.

Oh, I was going to say, either you can change the color in the properties of each background (but that is kind of hard). You can also change the color by opening the 'list view'. That might be easier... In my desktop, I have the part you are looking for highlighted.

sheesh... not too clear.

Anyway, You can also click on all the texts and pulling up properties. The *state* tab has color options. should read "has font options*.

thx all for your kind comments
icons...yes, definitely...eventually
cursors...haven't had any inspiration on the cursor front as yet but you never know...
still working on dx stuff at the moment really, it's slightly addictive, just a calendar to do and then bundle it all up into a theme or something maybe

I really like your designs... however, with the problems that I am having I can't recommend it or really, Desktop X, which may be the real problem. Every time I restart the objects have relocated them where I don't want themwith your weather object it is always asking me for my zip code, and it also changes from blended mode every time I restart. These are things I can't imagine fixing every time I reboot so, unfortunately, although I love the design... it's hard to recommend. Somebody please let me know if these issues are fixed at some future point though

Tiggz, you're right! It works, fabulously I might add!! The morphing is superb! Again, most excellent! I give it a 12!!!

Excellent job!!! This skin set is so cool. Thanks for all the hard work and sharing.

Any color you want as long as it's grey!

This is an excellent concept, and very well executed. The startup sound was a bit unexpected, but appropriate

Incredible work, but it's just what we're beginning to expect from you! You've created yourself a pretty high bar to beat on your next project

And BTW - MMMM icons! (too)
Comment #39 Sunday, March 28, 2004 3:24 PM
Thanks Maggot, it'll work
Cheers GM, pass that onto the anonymous so-and-so who snuck in, rated it a 6, then snuck out again

btw - make sure you have the very latest version of dx before running this object as it uses some of the new scripting options available in version 2.19
Comment #40 Sunday, March 28, 2004 3:15 PM
As always, your design and scripting present an object that takes DX to its most technically advanced levels in an artful and eyecatching rendition. There is not a single *average* aspect about this meter set.
