GM - "throbbing" LOL
Hi carolelee, glad you like the object, right click in the middle of it and configure email notify - then you will need to put in your mail server details, its name, your logon and pasword and mail server type. If you don't know any of these things your isp can tell you what they are. I hope this is the source of your problems. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks Tiggz for your quick comeback, I had it configured correctly(I thought)the only thing I believe I did wrong was my mail server(I put outlook for its name instead of pop.telus.net)I will let you know when I get more mail....thanks

I don't use AOL so I am not certain if the protocols are the same or not, I think I may have seen posts on the help forum that indicate that they aren't. For me, I rightclick the object and "configure email notify" then I input my detils such as mailserver name, logon, password and mail type (pop in my case) and then it works. For AOL these things will probably be different, but I don't really know. Sorry I can't help more. Maybe do a search of the Help forum for similair questions which may have been answered by someone with more of a clue than me

Great little app. I really like the alpha blending. I did turn of the looping on the animation, due to it eating a lot of my CPU.

Is it possible to create a second one on the desktop to monitor a second account? I tried cloning it, but couldn't get it to work right. Probabbly lack of now-how on my part.

I really love the WHOLE Killer set. I've got it all, and I use most of it all the time too.

Is there a was to have this check 2 pop email accounts?

Tiggz ... This is far and away the nicest looking email notifier. I'm using it now, works great and looks even better. I have a question though. Is there a way to have it check 2 POP email accounts? Or maybe someome could explain how to clone and change ID and use 2 of them, one for each account? I have tried several times to do that and I'm just not seeming to get it Thanks for a great little object!

Second post After using this for a few days, I have noticed that after I get a mail message and launch outlook to get my mail, the object does not clear the new mail envelope and the animation continues to play until it it checks the pop3 acount again. Also if I try to reconfigure the object for a shorter time duration, I loose the button for different modes and end up having to delete ands start over. Any ideas?

I love the Killer mail, but like the trash bin is there a way to get it to check the number of email whenit checks?

I am still trying to figure out how to resize it to fit my desktop to a perfect size for me and no where I look can I find it for this or the trash bin.

Thanks for all the great apps!

Hi,
The object just works fine with my mail server but I have a problem of 100% CPU usage.
I don't think it's because of the animation because my amil program was running and all mailed retrieved (animation then stopped normally). But my CPU was still at 100%. When removing the object, CPU usage dropped instantly. I have same problem with several DX mail checker. Do them all use the same "engine" for accessing mail server? Can the problem come from here?
Thx.

I know I must be doing something wrong but I only have find target when I right click on it, no configure email. So it doesnt check for messages but i can left click and it will load outlook just fine. It is just acting as a shortcut?
